Love these two songs Cait, two of my favourite artists too. I used to play a lot of music by The Kinks in the sixty's, think I have all of their original vynal somewhere, ah takes me back.!

i love the kinks. you are reminding me (in an odd way) of when i was 13 and went to my very first concert--Neil Diamond. it was my birthday, and i hoped against hope that somehow he would know and sing to me. instead, he sang "happy birthday" to some other girl in the crowd.
the friends i was with wanted to shout out that he now sing to ME but i knew he wouldn't sing happy birthday twice. i said, "if he just sings 'kentucky woman' i'll be happy." (i was born in kentucky.)
next song: "kentucky woman." i thought i'd die from the thrill of it.
I could listen to these two songs all day - bravo choices Cait!!
We went to see Eric Clapton at the O2 Arena a couple of months ago - he was brilliant of course and LAYLA is such a special song.
