Three things enjoyed today.

Musical tracks I have enjoyed today. ( more below on separate entries).

First is Rod Stewart singing The First Cut is the Deepest.

Below are:

Three quotes from a favourite poet of mine, (yes I am sure you know it is Yeats).

Three gorgeous pictures by the artist, Trudi Finch.

A line will take us hours maybe; Yet if it does not seem a moment's thought, our stitching and unstinting has been naught."

But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams."

"A pity beyond all telling is hid in the heart of love."

Hello to you Cait, late on Friday night.

As always, I have liked what you have written here, and also comments that you have left elsewhere around here.

Christmas has such a spiritual potential, and the possibility of lifting all of us to our best version of ourselves. And, I do think that we reach that uplift at some point in December.

And also know that other levels are explored at other times during this season.

No matter what the season, it is always just so intriguing to come to your site and see what you have left for us.

When I was in my early 20's I got to see Rod Stweart in concert...3 times in one week! Mad I know but it was fun.

Beautiful paintings, beautiful words Dear Cait, thank you for bringing so much sunshine into our lives with your truly amazing diaries.

I remember buying all the RS Albums, I still have them in my collection.

Hope you feeling a little better today and are managing to shake off the infection.

Love Camilla.xx

I hated Rod Stewart when I was younger but have a late awakening...and love this song. Yeats I have always loved so no re-education needed there.
Noticed you're reading Hilary Mantel - what is it like? I love most of hers.

Hi Cait, Lovely quotes from Yeats - the 'treading on dreams' one in particular. Lovely pics also. So much that is so different on your blog. Fenniexx
