Angels

Dear Diary,

Yes, there are kind angels here in cyberland and though they may be relative strangers they still perform miracles.

If you have noticed my header picture before you may have also noticed that I was wishing it didn't have huge ugly pillars and a horrible metal gate in front of it?

Well guess what? A miracle has been performed and this is the good angel (and wonderful artist) that did it.

Here are some examples of her beautiful artworks. All views of Ireland.

Enjoy.

If one looks closely enough, one can see angels in every piece of art.

We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can on
ly fly by embracing one another.

~Luciano de Crescenzo

Bye for now,
Go mbeannai Dia duit,
Cait.

Ah, that's the Ireland that I have in my mind.
In some ways so similar to our Pacific Northwest but without our steep mountains and our youthful history.

If you like Irish painters I wonder if you have seen the work of James MacKeown? He is well known for painting interiors / nudes but his landscapes are also excellent - he exhibits quite often at the West Wales Art Gallery in Fishguard. You can see his pictures through galleries via Google too.

Enjoy

Beautiful. Is there no way a person can leap into the screen & through the canvas & live inside one of the paintings?

I LOVE these paintings Cait - especially the plain brooding, weather-filled landscapes. Fab.

Wanted to listen to the music in the previous post but can't seem to hear it. Will have to try again another day with that one.

Love those pictures - and Ireland generally, but that remore rural scenery with the little white washed cottages and the more numerous abandoned ruins of stone cottages make for a sad landscape. One can almost hear the echoes of the cries of the hungry children in places like Skibbereen and Sligo, written into the landscape and the mist that rolls in a comforting cloud in from the sea.
