From the way things are going the learning will only come when it is already too late . . .

Perfect sentiment for the day.

Well, those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it....

It's frightening to think how these things repeat themselves.

How wonderful to see Joan Baez performing this song again, but telling in that the song continues to travel through history into each theatre of war, Vietnam, Iraq, making the words more poignant. She, like Bob Dylan, now have the depth of maturity and wisdom of the years, to add even more to their music.Such a good choice for this post Cait.

Cait, thank you for this post.

I think that part of the future being able to change this tune, is in many folks being able to substitute "we" for "they."

I don't think they ever will; neither will 'we'.
All we can do is try and keep the peace in our own, individual, little world.

It is a long time since Joan Baez sang this song and nothing has changed.

I have always loved Joan Baez music, very appropriate too Cait for the sentiment of the day.
