I was teaching a library (we call it "Book Club") class to 9/10 years olds today. I was reading excerpts from some of the best animal stories: The Wind in the Willows, Charlotte's Web, The Tale of Despereaux and the like. As we finished, one little girl said to me: "I wish it could be Book Club every day."
We've had gorgeous weather during the day and beautiful moons at night, one of which I took a bad photo of. Today was also the anniversary of my mother's birth. It is hard to think about her life without regretting how she spent most of it. I hope your day was a happy one.

Beautiful. Thank you, Cait.
On my walk home from my neighborhood subway station tonight I caught a long, lingering view of the totally full moon. Bliss!
Kept wondering why none of the others passing by even seemed to notice that brilliant disk above us.
