Adele - you can't have too much of a good thing

  1. I fear Adele isn't for me but then lots of artistes aren't for me and if she is for you, Cait, then that's just fine. Maybe it's a generational thing - the rising generation I do not understand, or stars like James Corden, some to that, though he was good in The History Boys. But you have expanded my knowledge, my likes and dislikes, so thanks for that.

  2. I've only really become aware of her since she won whatever it was she won. I like her powerful voice, I might even get some of her music.

  3. Adele has a wonderful voice and style. She deserves her music awards. I hope her talent isn't lost as was the case with both Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston. I hope you're keeping well.

  4. She is such a wonder. I love her sort of throw back classic singer vibe and that she writes a lot of her songs.

  5. Thanks for letting me have an Adele fix to start the day off right, Cait :) Loved her voice from the first time I heard Chasing Pavements on Jools Holland when she was relatively unknown. I remember trying to go to bed but being rooted to the spot. Ready for a third album now. Regarding E's fears above, I really hope she won't go bad, she's such a character, appears to be far too grounded and 'normal', I wouldn't have said it was a given. But she was only 19 though when she shot to fame. You've worried me now...!

  6. I've come round to liking Adele.

Sorry not to be around and commenting for a while. I've been embroiled in in a mixture of personal, work and writing stuff for a couple of weeks.

  7. I've only heard the last song. She has a nice sound, though her style is not my favorite. I had to come back and give a quick listen here because a couple of nights ago on one of our favorite sitcoms (we have two), the "wife" is weeping and when her husband asks her what's wrong she says, "That Adele just can't keep a man." I found that very amusing.

  9. Are you becoming gallbladder less? I thought maybe that's where you've been. I hope all went well, and that you are feeling much better.

When you are better, check out my blog for my favorite Adele performance.

  10. Adore Adele - amazing voice, fabulous look (reminds me of Dusty Springfield a bit who I've always adored), wonderful songs sung with real emotion. She deserves every bit of her success - and she's great value on a talk show too. Really funny and very natural.
