A Wishlist - A Meme

Two new babies

If I were to wish for anything, I should not wish for wealth and power, but for the passionate sense of potential -- for the eye which, ever young and ardent, sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints; possibility never.”

Soren Kierkegaard 1813-1855

A Romany Caravan by the Sea

An old red VW Camper Van

Perhaps it is the gypsy in my soul?

If you fancy doing this Meme why not start your own wishlist. Include only wild and/or impractial dreams; try not to write about those too seriously achievable desires.

Start with as many as you like and keep the list tucked away so you can add to it as and whenever. But let me know when you do......

Bye for now,
Go mbeannai Dia duit,
Cait.

  1. I might take you up on that, Cait. I'll start with one about which I've just blogged - that all women will have the freedom to be educated, to be free to chose their own life partner and have equal rights in the raising of their children.

  2. Funny, I had a vivid dream of a Romany gypsy caravan last night!

  3. Cait, I think donkey babies may just be the cutest of all animal babies. We got ours when they were adults, and I would sure love to get a couple little ones some day. A quick question. Did you want your name in the drawing for Saplings? You left a comment on the endpapers, but didn't say if you wanted the book. The drawing is Wed.

  5. Those baby donkeys are so soft looking and sweet, nuzzling up to each other. We have an old renovated living van - not as pretty as the Romany one, but nicer than a camper van - although I do like those too, so iconic!

  6. I can't decide between the VW and the gypsy caravan ... I think the VW just edges it (I'm better at filling up petrol tanks than horses). Lovely picture at the top too.

The gypsy caravan is lovely - and by the sea too. Perfect.

  10. Oh now, that vardo speaks to me. What is it about them?! I want to park one under the trees and live a gypsy's life.

  11. I an ex-librarian and wish to -
live in the heart of rural Wales in an old blacksmith's cottage with five acres of land that includes a river and the old forge.

Now where did I get that idea from?

  12. Oh, I do have a list. Colour and cottage, trees and flowers, dogs and books and good food and sea breezes and... Scotland. Peace and freedom and justice. Health and hope and love.

I am grateful to have most of these checked off my list...that Scotland thing still nags, however!! I am overdue a trip.

Your lovely photo of the donkeys...don't you love their ears....reminded me...Edward met a mule at Andalusia. A startling experience for both, I think.
